We are very pleased to say that Coventry University were given a ‘Highly Commended’ award at yesterday’s #BeesNeeds event. This was in recognition of the wonderful campus Grounds Team and the Blooms for Bees project.
The gardeners at the city centre campus have done away with traditional bedding in favour of wildlife friendly alternatives, and it shows. Perennial flower beds, annual meadows and the Edible Campus (where students can pick their own herbs and vegetables) form a thriving urban oasis that is home to at least 15 species of bee.
